A Season of Thanks and Momentum

for Our Life Science Community

As we enter the Thanksgiving season, we pause to reflect on the extraordinary momentum shaping the North Texas life science and healthcare innovation ecosystem. This year feels like a true renaissance—defined by innovative breakthroughs, bold investments, collaborative leadership, and a shared commitment to building a stronger, healthier future for all.

Thank you to the scientists, founders, educators, clinicians, investors, policymakers, and partners who make this ecosystem so uniquely dynamic. Your vision and dedication power every breakthrough, every partnership, and every step forward.

This Thanksgiving, we honor not only the progress we have made together but the vibrant era of possibility now unfolding across our region.

A New Possibility for Brain Health in Texas

Diana Castro, MD., Founder & Director, Neurology & Neuromuscular Care Center

Dr. Diana Castro’s Neurology & Neuromuscular Care Center in Denton delivers specialized, research-driven care for rare and neuromuscular conditions. Her clinic expands vital access to expert diagnosis and treatment for families in need.

With the creation of DPRIT, Texas will channel billions into brain-health research to support centers like Dr. Castro’s statewide.

BioNTX is grateful to the Lt. Governor, the 89th Texas Legislature, and our citizens for the passage of Proposition 14. We recognize the countless patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals who are navigating the realities of neurological conditions every day.

This brain health initiative brings renewed promise to those suffering by establishing the Dementia Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (DPRIT) a $3 billion statewide commitment to brain health research. Join us in reflecting with gratitude—and looking ahead to cures that this investment will unlock for Texans and global patients with these terrible conditions.
