Description

This year the topic is, "Holding Beauty and Pain." There is an art to holding both beauty and pain together, to not allow oneself to be all consumed by one or the other. If we hold only what is beautiful in our lives, then we embrace ignorance. If we hold only pain, the darkness may consume us. So the “game” we must play with ourselves is existing in tension between beauty and pain. It is truly an art to allow these emotions and experiences to co-exist.
