CPRIT Recruitment of First-Time, Tenure-Track Faculty Members

The Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) provides funding to support the recruitment of outstanding early-career investigators pursuing their first tenure-track assistant professor position in Texas. This award is designed to attract top-tier researchers with demonstrated academic excellence, innovation, and a strong commitment to cancer research in areas such as basic, translational, clinical, or population-based science. By offering financial support to Texas institutions, CPRIT aims to strengthen cancer research statewide, advance prevention and treatment efforts, and promote economic development. Proposals addressing CPRIT’s priority areas—including cancer disparities, childhood and adolescent cancers, hepatocellular cancer, computational oncology, innovative clinical trials, and implementation research—are strongly encouraged.
