NASA / Translational Research Institute for Space Health (TRISH)

TRISH is an applied space health research catalyst that funds disruptive, high-impact research and technologies for astronauts. TRISH partners with NASA’s Human Research Program through a consortium led by Baylor College of Medicine’s Center for Space Medicine. Through this funding opportunity, TRISH seeks projects to help provide more accurate and precise ways of performing real-time non-invasive intracranial pressure monitoring for astronauts. Proposals must include non-invasive intracranial pressure estimation techniques to benchmark against existing methods with the goal of understanding their validity. Funded projects will undergo two consecutive phases. The first phase, the “Flight Definition Phase,” will consist of preparing for a potential flight on an orbital commercial spaceflight mission. The second phase, the “Flight Implementation Phase,” will provide support before, during, and after the flight.
