The SMART Antiviral Prize aims to identify safe and effective broad-spectrum small molecules with the potential to reach clinical trials and achieve U.S. regulatory approval. This competition seeks to strengthen the therapeutic pipeline and address strategic preparedness gaps by partnering with innovators offering creative solutions. The prize specifically supports innovative, next-generation approaches targeting members of the Togaviridae and/or Flaviviridae families. Submissions for the first phase of the prize challenge are open until May 11, 2026.
