American Chemical Society Names Julia Chan, Ph.D., ACS Fellow for 2024

Julia Y. Chan, Ph.D., Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Baylor University 

Julia Y. Chan, Ph.D., B.S. ’93, professor of chemistry and biochemistry and The Tim and Sharalynn Fenn Family Endowed Chair in Materials Science at Baylor University, is one of 37 members named ACS Fellows for 2024. This honor is given to about 1% of the American Chemical Society's over 200,000 members. The ACS Fellows program recognizes outstanding achievements and contributions to science, the profession, and the ACS. Chan is the second Baylor faculty member to receive this honor, following George Cobb, Ph.D., professor and chair of environmental science, who was honored in 2015.
