ARPA-H Funding Enables Whole Eye Transplant at UTSW
UT Southwestern researcher Kevin Park has long pursued the "holy grail" of regenerative vision science—a fully functional eye transplant that restores sight. Now, with funding from the federal agency ARPA-H, that vision is closer than ever. Park, a professor of ophthalmology and neuroscience, is leading UTSW’s role in the nationwide initiative, which includes 40 top researchers. The project is supported by ARPA-H’s regional hub at Pegasus Park in Dallas, aiming to revolutionize vision restoration.
