Daniel Romo, Ph.D., a cancer therapeutics researcher at Baylor University and co-director of the Baylor Synthesis and Drug Lead Discovery Lab, has been selected for Texas Medical Center Innovation’s 2025 Accelerator for Cancer Therapeutics (ACT). As one of 24 innovators in the program, Romo is developing a new treatment for pancreatic cancer, the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the U.S. The ACT program is funded by the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT).
