Baylor Receives Federal Grant for City's Underserved Communities
Baylor University has received nearly $1 million from the EPA’s Environmental and Climate Justice Community Change Grants Program to support food security, sustainable agriculture, and climate resilience in underserved Waco communities. Part of a $17.9 million grant led by Mission Waco Mission World and the City of Waco, the funding addresses environmental challenges in areas impacted by pollution and disinvestment. Partners include the Waco-McLennan County Public Health District, Urban REAP, World Hunger Relief Institute, and Family of Faith Worship Center, driving community-led projects for healthier, more sustainable neighborhoods.
