Celanese Introduces Three New Thermoplastics
Celanese Corporation has introduced three new sustainable engineering thermoplastics at the Fakuma International Trade Fair for Plastics Processing in Germany. These materials maintain performance comparable to traditional plastics while promoting a circular economy. The sustainable solutions draw from three sources: carbon capture and utilization, recycled content, and ISCC+ certified bio-based feedstocks. Featured materials include: - Hostaform®: The first POM made with low-carbon ISCC-certified methanol, offering the same stiffness, thermal stability, and wear resistance as standard POM, with no requalification needed. - Zytel® PA ECO-R: A line of PA66 and PA6 resins using post-industrial recycling (PIR) content, achieving up to 32% carbon footprint reduction. - Vectra®, which features up to 75% renewable content, it delivers the same dimensional stability as traditional LCPs while reducing environmental impact.Celanese Introduces Three New Thermoplastics
