Colossal Foundation Donates to University of Melbourne Lab to Support Research and Conservation Efforts
In a landmark effort to combat one of the most devastating wildlife diseases in history, The Colossal Foundation, the nonprofit arm of Colossal BioSciences, has announced an initial donation as part of its commitment to the Pask & Frankenberg Lab at the University of Melbourne, Australia's top-ranked university. This funding supports research and conservation efforts targeting chytridiomycosis, a fungal disease responsible for the extinction of at least 90 amphibian species and severe population declines in over 500 others—affecting one in every 16 known amphibian species worldwide.
