Cook Children’s Medical Center–Prosper Opens Epilepsy Monitoring Unit to Expand Neurological Care
Cook Children’s Medical Center in Prosper has opened a new Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU), allowing children experiencing seizures to receive specialized brain activity monitoring and care closer to home rather than traveling to the Fort Worth campus, enhancing diagnosis and treatment planning for pediatric neurological conditions. The unit uses EEG technology to continuously monitor patients and supports a collaborative care team that includes neurologists, nurses, and child life specialists to improve outcomes and expand access to neurological services across the Dallas‑Fort Worth region.
