DeSoto Invests in Life Sciences with 80-Acre Innovation Core
Home to more than the entire population of San Francisco—southern Dallas County represents about 40% of the county’s total population. As the Dallas-Fort Worth area continues to rise as a national life science hub, the DeSoto Development Corporation (DDC) is taking a bold step to capitalize on this momentum. Among its major projects is an 80-acre Life Sciences Innovation Core, designed to fuel regional growth and attract industry investment. “Economic development is most effective when it happens regionally,” says Matt Carlson, DDC’s chief executive. “That’s exactly what we’re aiming to support through this initiative.”
