Dr. Kirk Calhoun Steps in as Interim President at UNTHSC
Kirk Calhoun, M.D., FACP, brings over 30 years of experience in academic medicine and healthcare leadership to his new role as interim president of The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth, effective February 1st. Previously, Dr. Calhoun served as president of UT Tyler, where he led the merger of its academic and health science campuses and established the UT Tyler School of Medicine. He also chaired UT Health East Texas, overseeing a vast network of hospitals, clinics, and rural health initiatives.
