Ecolab Acquires CoolIT Systems to Expand Into AI Data Center Liquid Cooling
Ecolab announced it will acquire CoolIT Systems for approximately $4.75 billion, aiming to capitalize on the rapid growth of AI-driven data centers and their need for advanced liquid cooling solutions. CoolIT’s technology, already used by major chipmakers, will complement Ecolab’s expertise in water, chemistry, and digital monitoring to create a more comprehensive cooling platform. The deal, expected to close in Q3 2026, positions Ecolab to play a key role in supporting next-generation AI infrastructure.
