Ecolab Closes Acquisition of Ovivo’s Electronics Ultrapure Water Business
Ecolab Inc. completed its acquisition of Ovivo’s electronics business, a provider of advanced ultrapure water technologies used in semiconductor manufacturing, expanding its global high-tech water solutions platform. This move strengthens Ecolab’s water circularity offerings and enhances its ability to support customers across water-intensive industries like AI chip production and data centers. The acquired business will continue operating near Basel, Switzerland under the brand “Ovivo, Ultrapure Water+ by Ecolab.” Ecolab expects the combined capabilities to help customers reduce water use while improving efficiency and compliance in semiconductor manufacturing.
