Johnson & Johnson announced that the U.S. FDA approved the Dual Energy THERMOCOOL SMARTTOUCH SF Platform, an integrated catheter ablation system that allows electrophysiologists to deliver both radiofrequency (RF) and pulsed field (PF) energy through a single catheter. The platform is integrated with the CARTO ecosystem, providing advanced mapping, imaging, and guidance tools that allow physicians to customize treatment approaches based on patient anatomy and procedure complexity. The approval expands Johnson & Johnson’s cardiac rhythm management portfolio and is expected to support a phased U.S. commercial rollout beginning with initial procedures during the summer of 2026.
