Lewisville ISD’s Wonder Wagon Empowers Young Superheroes with STEM Education
Lori Klimek, also known as “Wonder Woman,” operates the Wonder Wagon—a STEM van that brings science, technology, engineering, and math education to over 4,000 students in Lewisville ISD. The Wonder Wagon is a 2022 high-roof Ford Transit, generously funded by The Rao Foundation, and it provides STEM experiences to elementary campuses that don’t currently have ongoing STEM classroom instruction1. Lori travels to schools without existing STEM programs, engaging kindergarteners, second graders, and third graders in three exciting experiences each year. This year alone, Lori has visited 24 schools, significantly contributing to the engineering development of these young minds.
