McKesson Leads North Texas in Latest Fortune 500 Rankings

Following Exxon Mobil's relocation to the Houston area, McKesson is now the highest-ranked company in the Dallas-Fort Worth region on the latest Fortune 500 list, holding the No. 9 spot with a 2023 revenue of $276.7 billion. The Dallas-Fort Worth area features 21 companies on the current list, down from 24 last year. McKesson, a leading pharmaceutical distribution and healthcare services company, moved to North Texas from California in 2019. Fortune ranks U.S. companies based on total revenue, also noting profits, assets, market value, and employee count.
