Solenic Medical Marks First Use of Its AMF Technology in Compassionate‑Use Patient
Solenic Medical announced the first successful use of its investigational alternating magnetic field (AMF) therapy delivered under an U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) compassionate‑use authorization to treat a patient with a serious prosthetic‑joint infection (PJI). The non‑invasive treatment was used alongside surgery and showed no device‑related adverse events so far, with the patient’s recovery reportedly progressing well. This milestone follows earlier feasibility studies and underscores Solenic Medical’s aim to offer a safer alternative to traditional, more invasive revision surgeries for infected implants.
