Texas Student Heads to Tokyo to Present AI Cancer Research

Sachchit, an incoming senior from Little Elm attending Texas Online Preparatory School (TOPS), is taking his research global. He recently traveled from DFW to Tokyo to present his work at the prestigious International Young Researchers’ Conference at the University of Tokyo.

On the weekend of June 27th, Sachchit will showcase an AI-powered early cancer detection tool he developed. His model combines MRI imaging, transcriptomic data, convolutional neural networks (CNNs), and interpretable AI to improve diagnosis of adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC)—a rare form of cancer.
