Transcat Expands Into Latin America With Acquisition of SCM Metrology and Laboratories S.A.
Transcat announced the acquisition of SCM Metrology and Laboratories S.A., marking its first operational presence in Latin America. The Costa Rica–based company provides ISO/IEC 17025-accredited calibration, testing, and metrology services, serving more than 550 clients in regulated industries such as life sciences and medical devices. The acquisition supports Transcat’s strategy to expand its global calibration footprint and strengthen service offerings for multinational customers in high-growth markets.
