UNT Professors Garner Prestigious NSF CAREER Awards Totaling $1.8 Million
Three assistant professors from the College of Engineering and College of Science at the University of North Texas have secured over $1.8 million in grants from the U.S. National Science Foundation’s Faculty Early Career Development Program. The NSF CAREER award stands as the most esteemed recognition for early career research faculty. It is bestowed upon selected tenured-track faculty members who are yet to attain tenure, showcasing scholarly work with substantial impact in their field or on society. With the addition of these latest awardees, UNT now boasts a total of 25 researchers who have earned NSF CAREER awards throughout the years. The recent recipients comprise Yuan Li (physics), Xiao Li (materials science and engineering), and Yuanxi Wang (physics). Over the next five years, they will utilize their grants to embark on research ventures spanning diverse areas.
