UNTHSC’s TCOM Secures Tier 1 Ranking for Primary Care
The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth’s Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (TCOM) has achieved Tier 1 status for primary care in 2024, according to U.S. News & World Report. TCOM is one of only 15 medical schools nationwide to receive this ranking, up from No. 11 in 2023. Dr. Frank Filipetto, TCOM Dean, credited the ranking to the dedication of TCOM’s faculty, staff, and students. Since 2020, TCOM’s ranking has dramatically improved from 72nd to Tier 1. Dr. Sylvia Trent-Adams, HSC President, praised the team’s hard work and commitment to creating an exceptional learning environment for future physicians.
