UT Arlington Launches Mobile Simulation Lab to Support Rural Healthcare Training
UT Arlington has unveiled a new mobile simulation lab aimed at enhancing training for healthcare workers in Texas’ rural communities, where a critical shortage of trained professionals persists across many of the state’s 172 rural counties. The mobile lab brings cutting-edge, hands-on training—identical to what students receive on UTA’s Arlington campus—to those enrolled in online programs in remote areas. Equipped with two simulation bays and three advanced medical mannequins, the lab offers realistic scenarios, including traumatic injuries and obstetric emergencies. One of the mannequins is capable of simulating childbirth, providing vital experience in managing maternal health crises.
