UT Arlington Researchers Receive CPRIT Grant to Boost Cancer Survivor Wellness

A research team at The University of Texas at Arlington has been awarded a grant from the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) to address low physical activity among cancer survivors—a critical factor in long-term health and quality of life.

With up to 84% of survivors not getting enough exercise, the team is developing a personalized, AI-driven system that leverages wearable and smartphone data to deliver real-time, tailored encouragement. The goal: provide the right message at the right time to help survivors stay active and thrive.
