The University of Texas at Dallas has recruited cancer researcher Alexander Adibekian, whose work focuses on identifying small molecules that interact with proteins in cancer cells. By combining mass spectrometry, proteomics and synthetic chemistry, his research aims to discover new drug candidates targeting cancer-related proteins that currently lack effective treatments.
