UT Southwestern Medical Center was designated a Parkinson’s Foundation Center of Excellence, becoming the first center in North Texas and only the second in Texas to receive the recognition. The designation reflects UT Southwestern’s multidisciplinary approach to Parkinson’s disease care, research, professional education and training, quality improvement, and community outreach. The recognition strengthens UT Southwestern’s role as a regional leader in Parkinson’s care and research, with its Movement Disorders team providing comprehensive treatment while advancing clinical research and new therapies.
