Awarded by TAMEST and Lyda Hill Philanthropies, the prize honors innovations with real-world impact. Liu shares the award with UT Austin professor James Chelikowsky. Their team will use AI, quantum simulations, and experiments to develop rare-earth-free magnets, advancing U.S. energy security and sustainability.
