UTA Professor Receives Prestigious Fulbright U.S. Scholar Award

Dr. Grace Ellen Brannon, associate professor in the Department of Communication at The University of Texas at Arlington, has been awarded a 2025–26 Fulbright U.S. Scholar award by the U.S. Department of State and the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board.

Beginning in January, Dr. Brannon will join the faculty at the University of Augsburg in Germany, where she will teach courses in health, interpersonal, and patient-provider communication. Her Fulbright work will also advance her research on how cultural differences influence the use of artificial intelligence in health care communication—exploring what motivates or discourages its adoption across global contexts.
