UTA Professor Recognized as Rising Star by Society of Manufacturing Engineers
The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) has recognized University of Texas at Arlington's assistant professor Chen Kan as a rising star in manufacturing engineering. Kan, from the Department of Industrial, Manufacturing, and Systems Engineering, is one of 20 recipients of the 2024 Susan Smyth Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineers award. Since 1980, this honor has been awarded to engineers aged 35 or younger for their exceptional contributions to the industry.
