University of Texas at Arlington researcher Muthu B.J. Wijesundara, principal research scientist and head of the Biomedical Technologies Division at UTARI in Fort Worth, has been named a 2025 fellow of the National Academy of Inventors (NAI) — a top professional honor recognizing innovation and patented inventions. His work includes developing robotic exoskeletons that reduce strain for individuals with mobility challenges and advanced medical devices aimed at preventing pressure and diabetic foot ulcers.
