UTA Student Receives Two Awards from the American Physiological Society

University of Texas at Arlington senior Ken Perry, an Arlington High School graduate, has long been fascinated by the workings of the heart. This interest led him to join the lab of UTA kinesiology professor R. Matthew Brothers in his sophomore year. Now, two years later, Perry has earned two research awards from the American Physiological Society (APS) for his study on the link between high-fat meals and cardiovascular health.

Perry won two awards from APS: the Barbara A. Horwitz and John M. Horowitz Undergraduate Research Award and the Barbara A. Horwitz and John M. Horowitz Outstanding Undergraduate Research Abstract Award.
